Body proportion is an important aspect of style imaging, which helps us find out whether we are having long legs or long torso or balance. This will help us find out the length of skirt/dresses that suits us, so let's try this!
Tools needed? A measuring tape, that's all :)
First of all, measure your height (H cm). Next, measure your length from your toes to the legs folding point = LL cm. Legs folding point is the part where it folds when you are sitting down or lifting up your leg. Do a simple subtraction to get your torso length, TL = H - LL cm
Categorize into one of the following:
Cat 1 : Balanced (LL = TL)
Cat 2 : Longer legs than torso by 2.5cm (LL > TL + 2.5)
Cat 3 : Longer torso than legs
For height below 157cm, reclassify
cat 1 to cat 3
cat 2 to cat 1
For height above 165cm, reclassify
cat 1 to cat 2
cat 3 to cat 1
Bingo, Now you know your body proportion category!
So how long can your skirt length goes?
Cat 1 can fit skirts up to 5cm below the knee
Cat 2 can fit skirts which goes all the way down
Cat 3 can fit skirts up to the knee
Anyway, this is only a guideline, most importantly, you love what you are wearing! Cheers :D
